U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and the 5th Fleet successfully tested a low-cost kamikaze drone from the deck of the USS Santa Barbara (LCS 32), an Independence-class littoral combat ship. 
 
The test of the Low-cost Unmanned Combat Attack System (LUCAS) was completed in the Arabian Gulf region and marks a "significant milestone in rapidly delivering affordable and effective unmanned capabilities to the warfighter," Vice Adm. Curt Renshaw, commander of NAVCENT/C5F, wrote in a statement.

Drone looks like it uses 2022 Ukraine/Russian tech. Long way to go to get to current FPV drone tech. Video looks AI generated.

These might come in handy against those cartel fast-boats... the destruction of which probably requires an expensive weapon...

It'd be good practice, anyway, and the FPV drones could record the boat and cargo on the way in for evidence.

Evidence??? Maybe the drone could read them the Miranda Rights, pick a lawyer, and court date so they get due process before the strike? After all, they are just poor people trying to make a living killing Americans ...
