Rubio to miss key NATO talks just as Ukraine faces critical pressure - Reuters
Story by Kateryna Serohina • 15h

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio may skip the NATO foreign ministers’ meeting in Brussels, according to Reuters.

Instead of Rubio, the US will be represented at the meeting by Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. The reasons for Rubio’s possible absence are still unknown, and plans may change.

The event is taking place against the backdrop of tense negotiations over President Donald Trump’s peace plan for Ukraine. Some European diplomats have expressed concerns that their positions might not be taken into account in this process.

The NATO ministers’ meeting is usually held twice a year, and it is rare for a US Secretary of State to miss it.

By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell - and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.

Adolf Hitler  (and democrats)

The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.
