Mayor Faces Felony Charges in Immigration Case

Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach has charged Coldwater Mayor Jose Ceballos with multiple felony counts, alleging he voted in U.S. elections despite not being a U.S. citizen. The filing in Comanche County District Court formally initiates the criminal prosecution against Ceballos. Ceballos was reportedly reelected the day before the charges were filed.
