AOC delivers stark warning to 'Old Guard' after Mamdani wins NYC

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (pictured) insisted Zohran Mamdani's victory in New York City was an omen to the 'Old Guard' of the Democratic Party, as former President Barack Obama gave a subdued response to the socialist swing. Mamdani, 34, will become the Big Apple's first Muslim mayor after defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa in a race that became a massive flashpoint in national politics. The democratic socialist earned more than 50 percent of the vote with 97 percent of ballots counted.

By "old guard" she must be referring to citizens who believe in the rule of law and the Constitution.

The problem is that they have been blaming the new administration for the ills wrought by the previous one, emphasizing that the four years of Bidenish management (whoever was running things behind the curtain) haven't been reversed in less than a year, so people are (predictably) suffering from the Biden Legacy.

While there are some signs of improvement where the Biden policies are not severely adhered to, the localized clinging to the policies that have created the problems will not solve anything.

I Thank Almighty God I live 2000 miles away from that mess in NYC.
