The Center for Diversity and Gender Studies advances left-wing ideology.

Texas State University’s Center for Diversity and Gender Studies offers instructional materials on a number of far-left subjects, including minors in African-American Studies; Diversity Studies; Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; and Latina/o Studies.

The center describes its offerings as “academic courses that help prepare students to work and live in a pluralistic society.”

In addition, “The director of the Center works in collaboration with an advisory council of faculty, staff, and students representing several Texas State colleges and departments” to “encourage the infusion of multiculturalism in the curriculum.”

Its values include a “diversity of people and ideas” and “a spirit of inclusiveness.”

A closer inspection revealed the type of multiculturalism injected into classroom instruction.

The center’s Diversity Studies minor requires students to take Introduction to Global Diversity Issues. In this course, students “examine how colonialism shaped developed and underdeveloped nations,” and “investigate grassroots activism in response to globalization.”

According to the fall 2025 syllabus, this course includes a “struggles and movements” unit that will specialize in “[h]uman rights, gender equity,” and “climate change.”
