President Trump, Elon Musk Make Amends At Charlie Kirk’s Funeral

President Donald Trump and tech billionaire Elon Musk sat next to each other in the president’s booth during Charlie Kirk’s funeral service in Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday.

Musk was among the more than 200,000 Americans who traveled to Phoenix on Sunday in order to honor Kirk. “Our friend Charlie Kirk getting murdered in cold blood this week, and people on the left celebrating it openly. The left is the party of murder. You see how much violence there’s on the left,” the X, SpaceX and Tesla chief said during an interview earlier this week.

Musk later took to X to express how moved he was by the showing of support for Kirk’s memory from all corners of the country. “Every seat in this giant arena that isn’t roped off for security is packed to the ceiling. Honored to be here,” he wrote alongside a video of the capacity crowd at State Farm Stadium. “All for Charlie Kirk.”

Midway through the service, Musk was seen chatting and shaking hands with President Trump in the presidential booth. He later posted a picture of the two influential leaders talking with the caption, “For Charlie.”

The White House later posted a photo from a different angle with an almost identical caption.

There was some bogus report about a lipreader who figured out what they were saying.
Not sure I believe his interpretations.

Trump: You look well.
Elon: You look great as always.
Trump: How have you been?
Elon: I've been just getting by ... one day at a time.
Trump: You know ... I think about you every day.
Trump: You would not believe how many times I had to stop myself from calling you.
Elon: I know ... why did we do this to each other?
Trump: Why did we do this to the kids?
Trump: Maybe you can stop by the White House sometime?
Trump: I am building a new ballroom. You have to see it.
Elon: I would like that ... but we have to take it slow.
Elon: We have to allow time for healing and for ... you know ...
Trump: Baby steps. Maybe in time ... maybe we can get back to ... normal?
Trump: For the kids.
Elon: Yes. They are important to us both.
Trump: You can call me anytime ... just to talk
Elon: I will. I will. We will have lunch soon ... if you want ...
Trump: Yes, call me. We have to figure this out ... between us
