Woman Now Facing First-Degree Murder Charge in New Port Richey Domestic Case
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. - The victim of a severe acid attack has died from his injuries, leading to upgraded charges for the suspect. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, August 21, 2025, has been ruled a premeditated domestic attack.
New Port Richey Police Department officers had initially responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home in the 4500 block of Slippery Rock Road.
They found a male victim with critical chemical burns. He was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital, where he remained in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries.
The suspect, Chuanying He, 50, was initially charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery. Due to the victim's death, these charges have been elevated to First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Battery Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
