Fight leads to shooting on Metrobus in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police are investigating after a man began shooting on a Metrobus on H Street during a fight on Sunday.

Officials told DC News Now that the shooting broke out just before midnight on Aug. 24, on a bus along the D20 route. The bus was traveling on H Street, near 14th Street NE, when two men got into an altercation.

That’s when one of them pulled out a gun and fired two shots while on the bus, according to Metro officials.

The scuffle continued off the bus, and the suspect was taken into custody. They were charged with assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment and destruction of property.

Thankfully, no one was struck during the shooting.

There is no crime in DC, so the media have it confused with somewhere else. :whistle:
