Nancy Pelosi just won’t retire. Why? I have no idea. She’s three years older than dirt and has been in Congress since the planet cooled, yet she’s still there. It can’t be that she wants to feed her husband even more insider stock tips; unless she’s discovered a way to load her Earthly fortune onto a debit card in Hell, she won’t be able to take it with her. So why won’t she, and so many other Democrats, just go away and retire like normal people do?

You really have to assume someone like Pelosi either doesn’t like her family or her family does not like her. Both options seem believable to me.

But it’s not just Nancy, it’s so many of them. Joe Biden stayed long past his “use by” date because, well, if he’d retired his family would have had absolutely nothing to sell. What do they do for money when their sole reason for employment is no longer in a position that matters?

The Bidens are in the process of finding out now, with Joe’s kids and siblings having, for the first time, to survive on their merit and abilities. Poor bastards.

I really don’t care if democrats hate their families or vice versa, what I have a problem with is democrats hating normal nuclear families with Christian, or other non murderous religious values and a strong love of country.

Yeah, that's the problem. Democrats hate my family (for no reason), and I'm tired of it.

I've seen this many times with SOME folks as they get older. Their identity is so tied up in their livelihood that they can't give it up, or they are under the delusion that they are so critical to an organization that if they leave there is no way the organization can survive without them. The folks in DC have these issues as well, but they are also addicted to power. On top of that, they don't have to deal with the hassles that the ordinary guy has -- traffic, security, etc.  They have people (that we pay for) who handle these things for them and they don't have to deal with reality.

The fancy college word is kleptocrat.  That's why Dems prefer to die in office rather than retire.  They are Powerslaves.

A Constitutional amendment for term limits for Congress and the judiciary will never pass.
But "age limits" might.
The trick is to exempt everyone in Congress at the time of passage.
Do whatever is necessary to get it done NOW, and reap the benefits in the future...
