George Will is a classic, post-FDR Old School Republican.
He is not a socialist, but rather a big government globalist who supports market capitalism. He appears to approve of open borders, as well as any and all American military interventions abroad and he supports trade deals with countries that impose tariffs on American goods, but not the other way around.
Will lives in a wealthy city immediately adjacent to Washington, D.C. and appears to rarely leave the region to visit parts of the country where Donald Trump is not uniformly despised.
Instead, he and his wife participate actively in the social life surrounding the Capitol. He wears a bow tie, has an encyclopedic knowledge of baseball, and roots for the Nationals. In D.C.: he fits in splendidly.
