Illegal Alien Stages Kidnapping Hoax to Slander Immigration Enforcement

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently announced that assaults against ICE agents have skyrocketed by a disturbing 830 percent in the first half of 2025 compared to 2024. This alarming trend is fueled by incendiary and demonizing anti-ICE rhetoric from open-borders radicals and politicians. It is also undoubtedly exacerbated by dishonest atrocity propaganda of supposed abuses or cruelty by ICE against individual immigration lawbreakers. One illegal alien woman and “social justice” activist decided to contribute to this trend, thereby adding fuel to the fire, by staging her own kidnapping.
On June 25, 41-year-old Yuriana Julia Pelaez Calderon – a Mexican national residing illegally in South Los Angeles – was supposedly driving to work (in itself another violation of U.S. law). After noticing several vehicles following her, her story goes, she pulled into a restaurant parking lot in downtown LA, and was taken into custody by masked men (ICE or bounty hunters) and moved to U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s San Ysidro Port of Entry. There, she was allegedly pressured to sign voluntary self-deportation papers, and, upon her refusal, was penalized by being taken to an undisclosed warehouse location.
Five days later, Pelaez Calderon’s family and their lawyer held a press conference, claiming that the distraught relatives had not been notified of her whereabouts. Family members and a small group of attendees also held signs reading “stop the abductions,” “help find my mother,” and “is this the land of the free? Democracy now.” The illegal alien’s daughter even set up a GoFundMe page, intending to raise $4,500.
