Salvadoran national Alexander Alfredo Palacios Guevara, who has a violent criminal history including murder, was reportedly arrested by Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Los Angeles. He was granted protection under the Convention Against Torture, blocking his deportation to El Salvador. The case has since raised public safety concerns and sparked additional protests against ICE.
