It is a brilliant move by the DOJ. While the case proceeds none of these judges can continue to rule on affected cases, or issue sweeping injunctions that they never had the authority to issue in the first place. Also, it is a great way for the SCOTUS to bring the district courts back under control, if they choose to do so. If not I suspect Pres. Trump will suspend habeas corpus after the BBB passes.
