A Democrat congressman is facing intense backlash after making what many are calling an appalling and antisemitic comment aimed at Trump advisor Stephen Miller.
Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) is under fire after responding to Miller’s criticism of Democratic immigration policies by suggesting he “go back to 1930s Germany”—a comment that quickly sparked outrage across the political spectrum.
Miller, who is Jewish, had recently posted on X that New York City’s mayoral primary result—in which socialist Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic nomination—was “the clearest warning yet of what happens to a society when it fails to control migration.”
Miller’s remarks, though harsh, echoed the immigration enforcement stance that has defined much of his tenure as Trump’s top policy adviser. But it was Pocan’s reply that ignited a full-blown firestorm.
“Racist f*ck. Go back to 1930’s Germany,” Pocan wrote.
