Rep. Burchett: Lawmakers Claimed $3 Billion for Trump’s Border Wall Would “Bankrupt Us” – Then Sent $200 Billion to Ukraine “Unchecked”

Federal lawmakers and the mainstream media insisted the United States could not afford to build a defensive barrier along the southwest border during President Trump’s first term, before sending hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine during the Biden era.

“In Trump’s first administration… the President requested three or four billion dollars for the border, and they said it would, in fact, bankrupt us. And here we’ve given Ukraine over $200 billion, unchecked, and we just keep throwing money at them,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) told Border Hawk.

“Good fences make good neighbors, and we need a dadgum good fence between us and Mexico.”

By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell - and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.

The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
