Iran's ayatollah warns Washington of 'irreversible damage' if US joins conflict on Israel's side

The conflict between Israel and Iran has entered its sixth day of open hostilities, with fresh Israeli airstrikes targeting military and nuclear sites in Tehran overnight.

Dozens of Israeli fighter jets struck a key uranium enrichment facility and multiple missile manufacturing sites, the IDF said, in what it calls a move to disrupt Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
 
Explosions shook parts of Tehran on Tuesday night as anti-aircraft fire lit up the skies. Residents have reportedly begun fleeing the capital in large numbers, with traffic gridlocked and gas stations overwhelmed.

On Wednesday, Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warned Washington that any US involvement in the conflict would lead to "irreversible damage".

He doesn't need a fission or thermonuclear device, dirty bombs would be enough to make a real (and in some cases, lasting) mess of things. Keep in mind, the destructive device might not even be nuclear nor explosive.

Iran supreme leader responds to Trump: ‘We will never surrender’

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei early Wednesday declared his nation “will never surrender” to threats from Israel’s allies, including President Trump, amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

“It isn’t wise to tell the Iranian nation to surrender,” Khamenei said in a post on social platform X. “What should the Iranian nation surrender to? We will never surrender in response to the attacks of anyone.”

“This is the logic of the Iranian nation. This is the spirit of the Iranian nation,” he added.

The response comes a day after Trump called on Iran to agree to an “unconditional surrender,” signaling earlier this week that merely a ceasefire agreement wasn’t enough. The president has also doubled down on his request for a deal with Tehran to dismantle its nuclear program.

While Trump has left open the possibility of U.S. troops getting involved in the conflict, he has not, thus far, supported plans to target Khamenei.

I wonder how many Iranian sleeper agents there are currently in this country. I suspect they could do some real damage if awakened.

Iran has been begging to be attacked through their proxies murdering people and attacking commerce. They've been planning this for a long time.

Israel had a severe intelligence failure regarding the Oct 7 attack on them. And that was right under their noses.

It is very possible that Iran already has nuclear weapons, and both the west and Israel failed to detect that progress.

Iran wants a justification for using them and now they believe they have it. They do not seek peace. They seek the destruction of the Little and Great Satan to bring about Armageddon with Islam conquering the world. There is no compromising with that.

America still owes Iran payback for the 1979 Hostage Crisis and the 1983 Beirut Marines Barracks Bombings ... with compounded interest.

We don't need to make Iran safe for democracy; we just need to make it unsafe for the Ayatollahs and the Mullahs.

Keep seeing rumors of Chicom cargo  landings in Iran the past few days. 

That alone should scare the shit out of everyone.  How do we not know a nuke and launch hardware wasn't  pre-loaded for last resort use?  Is Mossad and CIA intel that good?

The Iranian regime is overtly belligerent.  They are the source of most of the strife and human suffering in the Middle East.

They sit on more oil and gas than God.  They could use that wealth to build a peaceful, prosperous Iran.  Instead, they use that money to spread death and terror throughout the Middle East and the world.

With the money Biden gave them, the Iranians have:

- funded Hamas October 7, 2023, attack to scuttle peace deal among Israel and other Mideast nations
- funded the Assad regime in Syria
- funded Hezzbollah to attack Israel from Syria and Lebanon
- funded the Houthis who have destabilized Yemen and the Gulf of Aden
- funded Islamic Jihad in Iraq to attack US personnel

At no point has Iran engaged its neighbors to build a peaceful and prosperous Mideast.

The Iranian regime is a revolutionary one with imperialist ambitions to spread its revolution beyond the borders of Iran.

Iran, like Russia, does not want peace.  They want conquest.

The strife in Gaza could come to an end if Hamas surrendered, released the hostages, and were exiled from Gaza.

The strife in Ukraine would be end if Russia would withdraw forces from within Ukraine's 1992 borders, including Crimea.

The strife in the Mideast could be ended unilaterally by Iran.

China, Iran, and Russia view themselves as ascendant world powers who have to defeat the West to achieve greatness and power.  They will not voluntarily reliquinsh their ambitions nor will they cease their aggression against neighbors and perceived enemies.
