Story by Emily Prescott•

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is reportedly discontinuing a program that incentivized automakers to use start/stop technology in vehicles. The technology shuts off engines during stops to reduce emissions, but the EPA claims it fails to make a meaningful impact. The EPA will stop offering fuel economy credits for the feature while still allowing automakers to use it.
