It’s something out of the movie Airplane, but that’s the Biden administration—an epic display of either government incompetence or indifference. This crew didn’t care that Kabul was going to fall to the Taliban, leading to the shambolic exit from the country and, finally, the detached and gross reaction to the 13 American soldiers who were killed during the Abbey Gate terror attack. To this day, I don’t think a senior member of the Biden administration has called the families of these victims. Biden's reputation as Mr. Empathy took an irreparable blow.

Now, as we sift through the wreckage of American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a US Army Black Hawk helicopter on January 29, killing all 67 people onboard both aircraft, we’re learning that a key hotline between Reagan National Airport and the Pentagon was rendered inoperable in 2022. 

Who was in charge then? 

Who was heading the Department of Transportation? 

*Cough* Mayor Pete* Cough* Cough*

Who oversaw the Pentagon? It was the Biden team.

Pete Buttigieg is clearly laying the groundwork for a 2028 presidential run, even going so far as to grow a beard in what looks like a transparent rebranding effort. And frankly, it’s no wonder he thinks he needs a makeover; his time as Transportation Secretary was a train wreck — sometimes literally. His four years in the Biden administration were a nonstop showcase of incompetence and misplaced priorities. You’d be hard-pressed to find a single transportation crisis he didn’t bungle.

Now, we've got one more.

Do you remember how the Democrats and the media tried to blame Trump for January's deadly air crash at Washington National Airport? Even Buttigieg joined in on the pile-on.

Sounds like this dropped ball was more on Lloyd Austin than Pete Buttigieg since DoD was the agency that was supposed to be maintaining then hotline, and didn't even tell FAA that it no longer worked.

Yes and No, would it have stopped the lady from flying higher in an area that was not allowed? Probable not, there was no time to call and have have everyone say "hey, you can't do that height in that zone".... and "listen to your instructor".

I like "ButtPlug" about as well as everyone else here (which is zero).... but not going to say he was responsible for this collision beyond perhaps his push for DEI along with the rest of the democrats.
