On April 17, 2025, the Tagansky District Court of Moscow seized the assets of three legal entities that are part of the Russian company Lesta Games, known as the developer and publisher of the popular online games World of Tanks and World of Ships. The decision affected the parent company, Lesta LLC, its Moscow division, Lesta Games Moscow LLC, and the publishing structure, Lesta Games Agency LLC. This was reported by the RBC publication, citing data from the Federal Bailiff Service. "Lesta Igri" promptly responded to the situation by publishing a statement on its Telegram channel. The company emphasized that it operates in strict accordance with the laws of Russia and Belarus, and expressed confidence that there is no reason for concern. The management assured that it is already taking measures to resolve the issue, cooperating with law enforcement agencies. The statement emphasizes that the company has not violated the law and sees no reason for concern.

I haven't played WoT in a very long time.  Always thought it was a Belarus outfit.

When the war started in February 2022 and sanctions were imposed, the Kyiv-based group split off from Minsk and St. Petersburg-based Lesta and established a new HQ in either Cyprus or Austin, not sure which.  But there is a wall between the two group, and the Russian government just took over the St. Pettersburg operation, which was the original core company.
