The Department of Defense reportedly allocated millions annually to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, with recent reports revealing more than $18 million in Pentagon grants aimed at enhancing DEI in technical fields. The grants include funding for prostate cancer treatment specifically for Black men. President Donald Trump recently fired Air Force Gen. CQ Brown Jr. as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Brown was the second Black general to hold the position, and had focused on military operations related to the war in Ukraine and tensions in the Middle East.
