Prices are up. I was at the store last night, and eggs are about $2.00 more a dozen than they were one month ago. But the fact that prices are up is not attributable to Trump taking office.
On eggs at least, there is a clear reason why prices are high. Chickens have been destroyed in large quantities due to disease. But one year from now, hopefully, that disease will be eliminated and egg production will return to some level of normal.
And Trump's effort to reduce government spending will have an impact on the economy, but that will take time to work its impact into the numbers. Frankly, I think we are headed for a recession, and we are overdue for a tightening of the economy.
Just can't spend like Biden did without adverse impact to the economy.
