The NYPD is being systematically transformed by the Office of Equity and Inclusion into a Sharia-compliant institution, prioritizing Islamic visibility, religious accommodations, and identity politics over merit, public safety, and the secular principles that once defined law enforcement.
The NYPD, once a symbol of law and order, is now openly embracing Sharia—and they’re not even hiding it. This blatant push for Islamic visibility was not only endorsed by the department but broadcasted and celebrated by URDU News, an Urdu-language media group serving the Pakistani American community across the United States. At a recent World Hijab Day event, NYPD Sergeant Aml Elsokary was hailed as a “pioneer of inclusivity” for ensuring that female officers can wear the Islamic hijab. This is the institutionalization of Islamic submission in a police force that should be prioritizing merit, not religious accommodation.
A Recruitment Drive for Sharia Compliance
During the event, Elsokary made it clear that this is more than just a uniform option—it’s a full-fledged recruitment drive to bring more hijab-wearing women into the force. She proudly detailed her 19-year battle to normalize the Sharia hijab within the NYPD, even admitting that when she first joined, there were only two hijabi women, but today, there are 89 members.
