Story by Amir Daftari • 2h

The aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman resumed operations in the Mediterranean Sea on Monday following a weeklong repair stop at a Navy base in Greece after colliding with a cargo ship near Port Said, Egypt.

The vessel left Naval Support Activity Souda Bay on Sunday, U.S. 6th Fleet said in a statement.

Newsweek has reached out to the U.S. Navy for further comment via email.
