‘Dangerous Individuals’: Authorities Identify Rise In Crime Linked to Migrants
Story by Emily Prescott • 1h
Authorities in Aurora, Colorado, have identified a rise in crime linked to Venezuelan nationals, particularly those associated with the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang, as early as the summer of 2023. The Aurora Police Department (APD) has reported a significant increase in calls for service, with crime rates nearly doubling from 2022 to 2023. The Trump administration has initiated a policy to deport illegal immigrants, including TdA gang members, to Guantanamo Bay, aiming to expand the facility's capacity to accommodate up to 30,000 migrants.
