I'm going to move this to the Editorial category and change the title to reflect the title of the published article, as per forum rules.

"We" could all agree to stop Hitlerizing each other, but for one problem. The demonization is very imbalanced. It's much more mainstream among Dems and Progs than among Rs and conservatives. I see and hear Dems/Progs calling people they disagree with "Hitler", "Nazi", "Fascist", "Racist", "Misogynist", "Homophobe", "Islamophobe", and more routinely. Rs/Conservatives use labels like "Commie" or "Socialist" far less often.

This can be seen easily by browsing TBR or Conservative Cave and then by browsing Democratic Underground.

Political violence in third world countries isn't uncommon.  Since democrats and rinos want to see that, I would say they are succeeding. ****slapping
By means of shrewd lies, unremittingly repeated, it is possible to make people believe that heaven is hell - and hell heaven. The greater the lie, the more readily it will be believed.

The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small, but their power of forgetting is enormous. In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan.

Every time the left doesn't get its way, it has a tantrum.

Some are relatively minor, others burn and loot sections of cities.

As long as they get away with those hissy fits, they become more emboldened, and less likely to show self-restraint.
Next time, take 'em to the woodshed.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
