The Trump administration's incoming border czar has criticized Democratic governors who have stated that they will protect immigrants in their states from mass deportation raids, warning them not to obstruct deportation efforts conducted by the administration.
President-elect Donald Trump named former police officer Tom Homan as his administration's incoming border czar in a statement posted to Truth Social on Sunday. Homan, who was also formerly the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement during Trump's last presidency, is expected to conduct deportations of undocumented immigrants, which is a large aspect of the border policy Trump's campaign advertised to voters.
"If you're not gonna help us, get the hell out of the way. Because we're going to do it ... we may have to double the number of agents we send to New York City," said Homan, speaking about his intentions to see deportation programs through in speaking with Fox News Digital.
