Trump says race is not tight in Pennsylvania despite polling
From Gabrielle M. Etzel
Former President Donald Trump told supporters in Pittsburgh on Monday evening, the final night before the election, that polling is not as tight in the election as the legacy media report.
“Let everyone think it is going to be as tight as hell, but whether it is or not, just you have to go out and we have to swamp them,” Trump said to his supporters at PPG Paints Arena, the hockey and concert stadium in Pittsburgh.
Trump is leading Vice President Kamala Harris by less than a percent in Pennsylvania on average, according to RealClearPolitics.
“Believe the fake news when they say, ‘This is going to be tight.’ This is really not tight,” said Trump, “but they want to do that because they want to get ratings. They want everybody to watch. But you got to do this. You got to just forget those people because they don’t tell the truth.”
During the speech, Trump made several derogatory statements about the “fake news media,” referencing the press box at the back of the stadium. The crowd booed the press multiple times.
