I have a son that is working part time (30+/- hours per week) at McDs and to me this just degrades his job appearance all the more. He works hard and it pays fairly decent for an beginner job (he had next to no payments and only has to provide food and mow the lawn where he stays while keeping up his college studies). To come on premise and pretend you can learn the whole operation in hours just seems a spit in the face of real workers (not in politics).
They will just have Trump scoop some fries not do the work of filling the baskets or dropping them so that there are cooked fries ready but no so much that they are stale….this is not hard but it takes experience and attention, or they have him dress a few buns and take a few patties out of the warming cabinet and put them on the bun….there is no way they will let him near the table grills or the fryers. They might have him stand next to the cashier and take the orders verbally while the cashier enters them in the POS. Want to impress me Trump, go bus the tables and clean the restrooms, standing around those that are actually working for a photo op isn’t going to do it.
I talk about fastfood not being skilled labor, and I speak from decades of experience, that doesn’t mean I don’t respect the people doing it, especially young people with it being their first job, they should be applauded and encouraged because it doesn’t just give them self respect and money in their pockets(a lot in Californication) it is also teaching them teamwork, communication skills, punctuality and responsibility, all the things that they need to be successful in their life.
This is what jobs like fast food were meant to be, entry level jobs, not as the left says, jobs with a living wage to raise a family on….that’s crazy talk and insulting to those starting out in skilled trades who arent making much more than what the left demands for unskilled labor.
