I bet some dim operatives tried to arm twist Lorne Michaels to give her 24/7 protection from negative satire.  And this was just a little reminder to back off.

SNL is still a cesspool of leftness, but they do get kind of ornery, when you try to control their content.

I haven't watched SNL in a long time and am still shocked that they would make fun of the Dems. But it has to be such a target rich scenario they couldn't resist.
