I think those who stop and take a deep breath would see the disparity in what is being done, here, and perhaps they are incapable of seeing those same ploys used against them.
But consider, if anyone, and I do mean anyone, was subject to the intense scrutiny that Trump has been subject to, and I include anyone especially with an income in the mid 6 figure range and up, over the past decade and beyond, would they be able to honestly say they would have emerged with so little to hold against them? Misdemeanors past the statute of limitations that were elevated to 'felony' status so as to be able to use charges to try someone for purely political reasons? Really?
Calling into question election results that either were statistical impossibilities or we watched CHANGE before our very eyes? Holding a political rally, and the ensuing protest tainted with as yet unrevealed numbers of hostile agency operatives, agents provocateur, against security forces stripped to a skeleton crew by the opposition with provoked incidents of violence that begged for an earnest and violent response (even though the only people who died as a result died because of either police actions or natural causes), despite Trump calling for peaceful protest?
Set-ups,'gotcha!'s, and hostile media all the way, openly committed to 'getting' Trump.
Not just the victims of getting beat up in the locker room as kids or bullied on the bus, but even the bullies can see what is happening here, as enough resources to make small towns all millionaires are diverted to going after one man while the egregious criminal actions of others go un-prosecuted, un-investigated, and unpunished.
I like to believe that even in the deepest recesses of those Americans who are publicly cheering this abortion of justice, there resides a sense of what is 'fair'. That same sense that lets a 5 year old know they have been somehow cheated out of something.
With that in mind, are these the sort of people you want to govern you?
If so, what makes you think they will ever treat you fairly?
Consider every case brought to challenge the election results in 2020 was NOT dismissed based on evidence or lack thereof--evidence was NEVER considered nor examined, but the cases were summarily dismissed on "standing". If those entities, composed of American CiItizens did not have 'standing' to challenge what they had reason to believe was a corrupted process of selecting leaders, then how can an illegally appointed 'special counsel' have 'standing' to sue to release evidence?
There is a reason swamps smell strongly of decay and the moldering remains of once proud trees, products of anaerobic bacteria and the lack of sunlight.
So it is no surprise that the actions of the current regime stink on ice.
