Lawsuit Alleges Chicago Officials Are Defying ICE Agents

Immigration enforcement in the United States has intensified since January 20, with approximately 11,000 individuals detained in the interior of the country. The U.S. Department of Justice recently filed a lawsuit against Chicago, alleging that local officials are obstructing federal immigration efforts. Additionally, the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) has come under scrutiny after supporting migrant families by providing guidance on how to avoid Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
