You don't suppose the increase in "demand" is due to shutting down nuclear plants, coal plants, and increasing needs for electricity from things like EVs has anything to do with it, do you?  Perhaps the demand is the same but the capacity to produce what is needed has been strangled by the federal and state governments.

Meanwhile, usage for EV's and AI are going thru the roof.

Which means no electricity for you useless eater.
