As one of the largest air forces in the world, the US Navy looks to have aircraft of all types for various missions. With air power becoming one of the most vital, if not the most vital, aspects of warfare, the US spends hundreds of billions developing and supporting its aircraft. Along with fighter jets like the FA/-18, the US Navy can also call up tankers and transport planes the next time the US finds itself in a conflict.
