ROOKE: Kamala Still Cut Checks To Defund The Police Long After Dems Flip-Flopped On Crime

Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign rests on pretending she spent her early years in office as a tough prosecutor fighting crime. However, new records show that as recently as last year, her new persona is all a lie.
Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, cut checks to a far-left legal group promoting harmful policies like defunding the police and turning Washington, D.C., into a permanent sanctuary city for illegal immigrants, according to financial disclosures reviewed by the Washington Examiner. Their joint tax return showed that Harris and Emhoff donated to Legal Aid DC in 2023 and 2021.
On the surface, Legal Aid DC is a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C., that gives inhabitants of low-income areas access to legal representation. But the Washington Examiner found that hiding beneath its veneer of community giving is actually a far-left organization that not only stood with the 2020 George Floyd rioters but also promoted the defund the police ideology in our nation’s Capitol.
