President Joe Biden appears to be on the road to a full recovery after the latest update from his doctor.

Biden, who decided not to run for reelection for president on Sunday, was diagnosed with COVID-19 last week and has been recovering at his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. A recent letter from Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin C. O’Connor, revealed the president’s health has improved significantly.

“President Biden completed his eighth dose of Paxlovid this morning. His symptoms have improved significantly,” O’Connor wrote in a letter dated July 21. “His pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and temperature remain absolutely normal. His oxygen saturation continues to be excellent on room air. His lungs remain clear.”

Biden reportedly contracted the KP.2.3 variant of COVID-19, according to O’Connor. This variant is responsible for “approximately 12.8% of all the COVID-19 cases in the United States.” O’Connor previously incorrectly reported the variant was responsible for approximately a third of all new cases. 

O’Connor said Biden is healthy enough to continue to perform all of his presidential responsibilities.

If Biden waited until he had significant symptoms before being tested, that is unsurprising. For example, my daughter was experiencing symptoms - e.g. coughing - a week ago Sunday and tested positive. She was doing better the following day and tested negative 3 days later (Wednesday). I had been in a car with her for nearly an hour on that Sunday and tested negative Thursday morning (maybe she wasn't infectious on Sunday, maybe my antibodies from vaccine and recovery reacted unusually fast, don't much care).

So Biden feeling better 3 days after testing positive is not unusual and not evidence it was phony.

I'm not confident that Plaxvid (sp) is helpful; rather letting it take it's course and taking additional vitamins and herbs.

It is coincidental however that Joe contracts COVID and then drops out of the race.
