Biden Fundraiser Host McAuliffe: Putin-Kim Meeting This Week Shows Trump’s Policy Failed — Biden Is Strong

Ian Hanchett 20 Jun 2024

On Wednesday’s broadcast of “CNN NewsNight,” former Democratic Virginia Gov. and former DNC Chair Terry McAuliffe, who hosted a fundraiser for President Joe Biden earlier this week, argued that the meeting earlier this week between Russia’s Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, where the two nations bolstered relations with each other, is an indictment of 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump’s policy on North Korea while Biden has “put NATO back together.” And has also “put the United States out there to protect this fledgling democracy” in Ukraine.

McAuliffe said Biden “put NATO back together. The President, fighting for Ukraine, where I recently visited. Those troops love America, they love Joe Biden, because he put the United States out there to protect this fledgling democracy. … Here’s what you had with Donald Trump, four years, foreign policy, tried to run down NATO, ran down African countries, banned Muslims, bear-hugged a North Korean dictator. And what did we get for any of this? Nothing. Putin yesterday was in North Korea getting more military armaments to fight to defeat Ukraine, which is a fledging, new democracy. So, how’d that work out for you, Donald Trump?”

Putin-Kim meetings show's Biden's policies have failed.

Trump hasn't been President since January, 2021.

I heard a commentator last night (didn't catch his name) saying that Biden's failure to have any conversations at all with Putin over the past two years is a disaster. Meanwhile, Li'l Kim and Vlad are having the best vacation ever, while they plot the destruction of the U.S. and its allies.

Putin gifts car buff Kim Jong Un a fancy limousine, dagger in visit to North Korea

What does one dictator bent on world domination give another? Limos, tea sets and daggers, of course.

During his first visit to North Korea in nearly a quarter century this week, Russian President Vladimir Putin came bearing gifts for the despotic Kim Jong Un — with the big unveil being a Russian-made Aurus limousine.

Kim — reportedly a major car enthusiast and collector — beamed as he jumped in beside Putin at the wheel of the limo and they hit the highway side by side.  ...

Putin was welcomed into Pyongyang with great fanfare on Wednesday, with the two grinning leaders embracing as balloons flew about them, crowds cheered and posters bearing their faces were plastered throughout the city.

A gala is expected to be thrown for the leaders, who met in private for about two hours.

During their meeting, Kim gave “full support” for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while vowing to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Kim is believed to be supplying ballistic missiles to Russia’s war, and it has been speculated the meetings underway could expand whatever munitions arrangement is currently in place.  ...
