EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Chihuahua state police on Friday confirmed the recovery of five bodies abandoned near a highway in Chihuahua City.
The state attorney general’s office declined to comment on Mexican media reports that the victims are the five missing ride-share drivers who disappeared on May 30 in the border town of Ojinaga. The drivers reported to their relatives driving fares to the town opposite Presidio, Texas, some three hours north of the state capital.

“It won’t be until forensic examinations are concluded and the Crimes Against Persons Unit presents its initial findings that the identities of the victims will be established,” the attorney general’s office said in a statement
