There are a lot of ignorant blowhards in the mainstream media. However, for the early morning hours it is hard to top Joe Scarborough in the ignorant blowhard department. In the latest idiocy from Morning Joe, Scarborough piously proclaimed that "I've never really heard people discuss macroeconomics in terms of bloodbaths." Really Joe? Because as you can see in this video, "bloodbath" is a word quite frequently used in discussing macroeconomics.

Well, i'll give him credit for at least being honest about the context Trump was using. I'm not a fan of that sort of hyperbole but that is Trump's style so I can't really complain.

Joe needs help.  He's succumbed to Trump Derangement Syndrome.

1929 Stock Market Crash = bloodbath.
1987 Stock Market Crash = bloodbath.
1991 Real Estate Crash = bloodbath.
2001 DotCom Crash = bloodbath.
2008/2009 Financial Crisis = bloodbath.

Generally, any macro-economic event that significantly, quickly devalues collateral assets that force loans into default, and monetary supply into rapid deflation has been referred to as a "bloodbath".

"Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it’s entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end." - Alan Simpson, Frontline Video Interview

Joe reminds me of the guy who played Chandler Bing. That's a pleasant thought.
The abnormal is not the normal just because it is prevalent.

@mountaineer

When I read that,it was like a bright light came on.

It seems so obvious now that I can't understand why I never saw it before.
