Pre-9/11 the Marines were at the State Fair. I always made a point to be at each performance of this drill. It fascinated me. (Much like the funeral ceremony does). As an added bonus, they would do a precision march thru the fairgrounds with a military band playing Sousa marches. I would follow them to the end of the march thru the fairgrounds.
I haven't been to the fair in a really long time. I hope they have returned, but I doubt it.
