It's sad though, because unfortunately most of the great art in our country is housed in museums in blue cities, and most of the great orchestras, opera companies and ballet companies are stuck in blue cities, too.
I used to like hearing the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in concert and visiting the Chicago Art Institute when my family took our winter vacation in Chicago -- yes winter, because that's when the CSO performs -- but I don't think I want to visit Chicago again. (I'm just glad I learned Ravenna technique mosaic work while the city was still safe enough to take classes at the Chicago Mosaic School, otherwise, I'd have to have traveled to Ravenna or Venice, which is a lot pricier than the non-stop flight to Chicago I can get from my town.)
