FAA seeks industry insights on counter UAS program for U.S. border-protection
July 25, 2023
The FAA seeks a ruggedized aeroscope with an extended range antenna system to monitor DJI drone activities primarily on the southern U.S. border.

WASHINGTON - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey about drone detection data as a service (DaaS) related to the FAA's assistance to the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) counter unmanned aircraft systems (CUAS) program.

The FAA seeks a ruggedized aeroscope [drone detection system] with an extended range antenna system to monitor DJI drone activities primarily on the southern U.S. border, but in other border areas as well. In addition, the contractor should be able to provide their proprietary secured link to upload data to their drone detection platform.

The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest, capabilities, and rough cost estimates from businesses interested in and capable of providing the required services per the statement of work (SOW).

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.
