The attack happened at Neuschwanstein castle on Wednesday, said to have been the inspiration for Disney’s ‘Cinderella’ castle. Police said the man fled but was arrested.
According to German tabloid Bild, all three involved were American tourists.
The two women were on the Marienbrücke bridge, a narrow footbridge that at its highest point crosses the gorge at around 300 feet, when attacked.
Bild said the 30-year-old man first sexually assaulted the two women at the popular tourist attraction. It reports that there was then a scuffle, before he pushed them into the ravine below. Reports have suggested the women were either thrown over the railing, or pushed down a steep slope into the ravine below.
