If the Soros-funded DA actually locked criminals up rather than kneel before them as they did in this case this real-life hero wouldn't have even been put in this position.

Well, the article does say that he hasn't been arrested, but is cooperating, and the DA is bringing the matter before a grand jury.  Given the public nature of the shooting, it's not totally unreasonable to want a grand jury to put its blessing on the decision to charge or to not charge.
