'Cheese Is Murder': Activists Fight the Affliction of 'Human Supremacy'

By Alex Parker
Aug 27, 2022

In modern America, a supremacist is the worst thing you can be. And according to an activist group, that may also apply to species.

Students Opposing Speciesism (SOS) is an organization for advocates ages 13 to 24. And the group is no small potatoes — it’s backed by justice giant PETA.

On PETA’s page, SOS defines a term:

Quote
Speciesism is the misguided belief that one species is more important than another. Much as other ugly “-isms” result in discrimination against and bullying of other humans based on arbitrary factors like skin color, gender, class, sexual orientation, or physical ability, speciesism assigns an inferior status to those who don’t happen to be human. If we want a more just world, we must work to end all systems of oppression, not just the types that affect us personally.

The faction fingers an outright fact — you’re an animal:

Quote
Animals are us, and we are animals. Like humans, all other animals feel joy, sadness, fear, and pain. We must see their suffering as an extension of our own. Our differences don’t justify cruelty — and exploiting others simply because we can or because they’re different is wrong. We have a responsibility to make the kindest choices possible and to do our best to reduce suffering of any kind, for every kind.

Cheese is hardly murder. If cows, sheep, etc., weren't milked, they would suffer bad consequences.
Quote
... What happens if you don’t milk a dairy cow

Not milking a dairy cow, can cause a lot of problems. A dairy cow will produce about 8 gallons or 30 litres a day. Adding to the problem of not milking is the missing calf, as they are normally kept separately to ensure higher milk yields.

If you stop milking this cow altogether, milk production will continue until the pressure starts to build up. This process normally starts a dry up phase, which will prevent the cow from producing more milk.

Because of modern breeding practices, it’s impossible for dairy cows to dry up naturally in a high production phase before facing serious problems. As, extending this phase increase the milk output of a cow, making it more profitable to keep this state as long as possible.

For those cows, stopping to milk them will cause the udder to increase is size until it can not expand any further. This cow will be in serious pain at this point. Caused by the enormous size of the udder it will also be in the way of everyday activities, preventing the cow from properly standing, sitting or laying.  If pressure still isn’t released then the udder can rupture or get infected. Ultimately leading to the death of the cow, if she is not treated and pressure is released. ...

Seems kind of cruel. But PETA (and, I suspect, their allies) have a long history of cruelty to animals.

According to this group of whackadoodles it is:

Quote
The group is growing in popularity: In addition to protesting at retail outlets and businesses such as In-N-Out — where signs have reportedly declared, “Cheese is Murder” — they’ve registered chapters at seven colleges. Schools include UT Austin, UC Davis, and the University of Maryland.

PETA believes that the murder of what we call pets and companions(and they have and do murder thousands) is better than those creatures being slaves to us monsters. I see no problem in their warped minds in the deaths and destruction of all dairy and food cattle, all for their their release from man's cruel enslavement...and of course for the glory of Gaia.

I have come to the conclusion that PETA does not seriously believe the bovine manure (gasp!) they peddle and that there is some ulterior motive to their persistent need for publicity.

HAHAHAHA! This is the height of hilarity!

I really can't hardly wait for this whole thing to tip over, just to watch idiots like this try to live.

The milk cow is the absolute center of the homestead. You ain't alright until you have one. Sure, goats and sheep... But that cow can produce 2 gallons a day AND calf-share.

These folks have no idea how hard it is to live without milk and butter, cheese, and whey. Or how that cow becomes a part of the family.

Ridiculous and insulting. And supremely ignorant.

Why don't these people just go kill themselves.

You'd think they might realize what a burden on the ecosystem they are.

UNDERSTAND:

Foremost, without some sort of grease, you will fry nothing. you will bake nothing. You are limited to spit roasting and the kettle.

Imagine yourself removed from modernity, standing in virgin woods with nothing but a knife, a saw, and an axe. Go ahead and get that grease. Because without it, there is no preservation beyond a few days. Literally hand-to-mouth, daily.

Sure, you can render fat. Leaf tallow from around the kidneys of the poor fuzzy woodland creatures you WILL kill and eat, just to survive - But there ain't a whole lot of fat to be found in nature.

It should give you an idea of just how precious butter is. A ready and plentiful and sustained source of grease is precious beyond all measure.
