A Louisiana mother and grandmother were charged with murder on Friday after they forced a four-year-old girl to drink half a bottle of whiskey, as punishment for taking a sip.

Roxanne Record, 53, and her daughter Kadjah Record, 28, were each booked into the East Baton Rouge parish prison following the death of Kadjah's daughter China from acute alcohol poisoning.

The little girl had a blood alcohol level of .068 more than eight times the .08 legal limit for people over 21 to drive when she died.

The little girl had a blood alcohol level of .068

That should read '0.68%'.  0.5% is lethal.  I knew someone personally who blew a 0.43, but he was a professional.

A coworker ODed on injected cocaine. Authorities said it was impossible for him to have injected the amount he had in him by himself. He would have been too incapacitated to continue.

Same with the little girl. There is no way possible she drank that much on her own. She would have thrown up or passed out well before .06.

This happens, or used to happen, at frat houses with alcohol ODs. A guy passes out and they continue to pour vodka down his throat. Eventually he dies with more alcohol in him than anybody could ever possibly drink.

They forcibly poisoned this little girl. She certainly did not 'drink it' on her own.
