DC police, ATF respond to 'active threat' after shots fired, 3 shot

At least three people were shot Friday in Washington D.C., prompting a heavy police response, authorities said.

The Metropolitan Police Department said it received reports of shots fired in the 4100 block of Connecticut Avenue NW. Social media users reported hearing heavy gunfire in the area. Fox News Digital obtained video from a nearby resident who captured sounds of the gunfire.

On one hand...it's ridiculous that the entire local programming has been preempted.  Even the news is gone.

Wall to wall coverage.  Seems witnesses are claiming that automatic weapons were fired.

Couldn't help but wonder that if had happened in the "Black" side of town, if the coverage would be the same.

7:54 pm Update: There are 4 total victims in this shooting incident. 2 adult females, 1 adult male, and a juvenile (12 year-old) female. The additional adult female victim is in her 60’s and suffered a graze wound to the back.

Multiple firearms and a large quantity of ammo were recovered inside the fifth floor apartment where the suspect was found deceased.
