Ukrainian official warns Russia has 48 hours to explain military activities on border
U.S. and NATO allies warn citizens to leave Ukraine as threat of Russian invasion persists

  Ukraine took steps Friday to demand answers from Russia within the next 48 hours following months of persistent and uncertain military aggression along their shared border.

Russia continues to deny any intent to invade the former Soviet nation despite its troop buildup of not only an estimated 100,000 troops in Russia, but the deployment of another 30,000 Russian troops to neighboring Belarus.

"We have officially triggered the risk reduction mechanism in accordance with para. III of the Vienna Document, and requested Russia to provide detailed explanations on military activities in the areas adjacent to the territory of Ukraine and in the temporarily occupied Crimea," Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said on Twitter Friday.

I hope Ukraine kicks their collective asses.  First move is to retake Crimea and destroy any Russian ships in Sevastopol.  And then leave a graveyard of T-80s, T-14s, and VK-7829s just inside the border.  We should be sending them every surplus anti-tank missile we have.

If Ukraine had hald a brain they'd request UN peace keepers to maintain peace along their borders.  Having to attack UN soldiers raises the stakes for Putin.

If Ukraine had a brain, they would be digging anti-tank ditches, mining roads, and planting demolition explosives on bridges.  Also digging tunnels and deploying hand-held anti-tank missiles every 50 meters.
