Health ‘Experts’ Finally Admit Masks Control People, Not Viruses

We’ve been censored. Hollered at by Karens in the grocery store and sometimes even outdoors. We’ve been lectured, demonized, scoffed at, and called murderers and rubes — all for the sin of ignoring mask security theater and daring to show the lower half of our faces in public.

That’s why it’s just remarkable to hear the experts now admit that the same face coverings required in so many establishments and localities are not stopping any virus from spreading.

CNN medical analyst Leana Wen, who was previously president of abortion giant Planned Parenthood, said so on the network — and not only in reference to the current variant, as if new data has suddenly justified a change in guidance. She explicitly said cloth masks haven’t been effective since the dawn of the Wuhan virus.

“Cloth masks are not appropriate for this pandemic. It’s not appropriate for omicron, it was not appropriate for delta, alpha, or any of the previous variants either, because we’re dealing with something that’s airborne,” Wen said.

Of course, now the push will be on to mandate that everyone wear a KN95 mask.

Paper "surgical" masks are no better against a virus like Covid.

They haven't admitted as much yet, but eventually they'll have to. There are years and years of studies that show they have no statistical benefit.

And N95 masks have virtually no actual data showing a reduction in respiratory virus spread that makes much difference either.

And the fact is your eyes are exposed and connected to your sinuses. A face shield does zip as the air that carries the virus flows around the shield with any head movement or air flow. Sealed goggles are the only thing that can keep it out your eyes.

This whole thing has been an exercise in stupidity.

The last two times I went to my local Ralphs/Kroger which does require a mask I went in maskless and not once while shopping did anyone say a word. Those maskless like me were definitely a minority but at least half the people I saw wearing masks had them pulled below their nose so that their glasses didn't fog.

We all know the mask is useless, either because it's just paper or cloth or because people handle them with hands that haven't been washed, aren't worn correctly or washed. I see more and more people being fed up with the nonsense, but also I still see idiots wearing masks in their cars when they are the sole occupant or while out in the open when no one else is around. Until more of the frightened sheeple come to their senses Fauci will still be able to spout his BS and disrupt the nation.

The LIRR has had a mask mandate ever since early 2020, which I have been consistently ignoring since the Fall of 2020.  It wasn't until this morning, when I took a train other than my usual train, that the conductor said anything about it.  He told me I had to wear a mask, to which I replied "a cloth covering, right?" and then proceeded to wrap my scarf around my face - my scarf is a thick knit with openings that would let a mosquito through.

That sufficed, which just goes to show that this is nothing more than Kabuki theater and virtue signaling.

Some of us have been saying this is nonsense since it started.  The openings in the masks are an order of magnitude larger than the virus, and that is not even counting leakage along the sides.
