<snipit>

A group of former inmates filed a civil lawsuit this week against Oklahoma county authorities, alleging that they were "tortured" by jail officials who made them listen to the children's song "Baby Shark" for hours while incarcerated. The lawsuit comes after two jail officials and their supervisor were criminally charged last year over the alleged conduct, The Associated Press reported.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

I agree, we babysat our granddaughters one day at my son's house and the girls insisted on having that damn show on over and over! Had I been warned ahead of time I would have taken ear plugs......at least. Why do they allow sadists to make shows for children that torture adults?

It's the bleeping Koreans. They're taking over the media. Whether it's the Pinkfong group that created that insipid "Baby Shark" video, or Parasite, Squid Game, BTS and the other K-pop boy bands and girl groups... this is worse than the British back in 1964. The Koreans are brutal, especially on social media.

Polka music does it for me. At work one time somebody tuned into a polka station on the issue of fairness. One worker actually liked the stuff. After about one hour of countless oom pah pahs I was begging for mercy.

BTW...What does the J stand for? I misread your name for the last five years thinking you were Jimmie Fuller instead of J. Myrie Fuller. My apologies.

Check your DMs for the second part... as for the first... oof. Polka.

I'm part-Polish, and I love music, but polka is only tolerable for short periods of time for me.

  • WE are NOT ok!
I'm chuckling to myself.  I remember watching Reading Rainbow, Sesame Street, and Mr. Rogers when my kids were younger but not  every day; sounds like Baby shark is ridiculous.  I've never watched it.

I didn't watch TV with my grandkids; too many other things to do.  A couple of them I watched every day for years (I was very blessed), so I read to them, had math and reading lesson time (homework time when they were older) played with them and took them to the parks, library days, art classes for kids, movies, arcades, etc., and time in the swimming pool.   I had a blast with them. As they got a little older, go-carts and water parks were our favorites; yes my back is paying for it now, but it was worth it.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.
