A hospital in upstate New York will put baby deliveries on hold after too many workers in its maternity unit resigned over the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, according to local reports.https://www.foxnews.com/health/ny-hospital-baby-deliveries-maternity-workers-quit-covid-19-vaccine-mandate

Tell a pregnant woman at term to wait is not something I would want to do, things could turn violent very fast.

That was my thinking...how do you put a baby that is coming into this world on hold?

Glad I had no one to bet, because I would have put down $20 that this was a Babylon Bee article before I clicked on it.

That's the problem with reality these days - the farce and ludicrousness of reality are outstripping the Bee's ability to satirize it.

Worse yet, this is Lewis County, a rural county in the Adirondacks. This is likely the only hospital in the county, meaning that the nearest place they could get served is in a neighboring county, which is nearly 50 miles away, if not more. Watertown and maybe the college towns in Canton or Potsdam might be able to accommodate births. But who knows how well-staffed they are?

I was recently in a major hospital in Houston, which is known for good quality care, Houston Methodist.  It recently let 150 professionals and staff go who refused the vaccine.

I was shocked when I discovered how poor the quality of care there now is.  Rude people staffing, no feedback on treatment diagnosis, and overall a feeling of being just a piece of meat.

Made me consider that less and poorer staff makes everything have to be run less competently, with quicker decisions, and less confidence the best care is taken of individuals.

I will not be back there.

Apparently, it was the more competent and professional medical personnel who refused the jabs.

Think about that.

Yep. And on top of that all these nurses and doctors have already been working with the public for a year and a half with Covid running around. So it is highly likely they are now immune to it.

I'll add that since these people are very likely already immune the vaccination ultimatum has no actual benefit to anyone's health. Only the serious downside of damaging both people's health and livelihoods.

You really don't. You just fail to give them and their mother medical care. I have a feeling this will be framed as a "failure of capitalism" if the media deigns to cover it at all.
